New To The Lab?
Welcome!
New members please complete all of the trainings listed below to begin working in the lab.
Access to PSC & Server
Send a copy of your GSU ID to Monica Barnes at mbarnes12@gsu.edu and cc Jessica Bolton. She will forward your information to security. In a few days, a link for a quiz will appear in your iCollege page. Once you have successfully passed the quiz, your ID will grant you swipe access.
Ask Dr. Bolton at jbolton@gsu.edu to contact Ryan about server access
If you plan on using a personal computer please also download the Avast antivirus software found here

IACUC Approval
The Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC) requires that all lab personnel receive the following training to work with live animals:
Working with the laboratory mouse
Working with IACUC
Ethical decision making
ALAT 14: Euthanasia
AVMA Guidelines for euthanasia of animals 2020
Pain Management in Laboratory Animals
Post-Procedure Care of Mice and Rats in Research: Minimizing Pain and Distress
For Surgery: you will not be doing non-terminal surgeries, so you can skip this section.
When you are finished, login into IRIS here so you can be added to the system.
MMPVAE Program
Lastly, register for the GSU medical monitoring MMPVAE program (https://mmpvae.gsu.edu)
