Welcome! 

New members please complete all of the trainings listed below to begin working in the lab.

• Send a copy of your GSU ID to Dr. Bolton so she can forward your information to security.  In a few days, a link for a quiz will appear in your iCollege page. Once you have successfully passed the quiz, you will be approved for card access.

• Ask Dr. Bolton to contact Ryan about server access

• If you plan on using a personal computer, please also download the Avast antivirus software here

• Once you have access, follow instructions here to access the server from your personal computer

• Bloodborne pathogens training

• Hazardous Waste Awareness

Register ahead of time for the following in-person trainings here: (Note that all trainings occur monthly on a Wednesday at 10am, and will have a quiz through the Research Safety course on iCollege)    

• Intro to Hazardous Waste Disposal

• Intro to Lab Safety

• Intro to Biosafety

In the Research Safety course on iCollege, complete the following:

• Intro to Security Awareness (must send PantherCard number to Jessica before the training can be added to your portal)

• NIH Guidelines Training

The Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC) requires that all lab personnel complete the following training every 3 years to work with live animals: 

• Working with the laboratory mouse

• Working with the IACUC

• Ethical decision-making in animal research

• AVMA Guidelines for euthanasia of animals: 2020 edition

To log into AALAS for the first time, click "enroll now." The institution access code is "TrainingGSU" 

When you have completed the above courses, log into IRIS here so you can be added to the system (nothing needed beyond logging in)
